Our vision is to help children in our communities reach their full potential by supporting organizations that meet their fundamental needs, and foster success through educational, therapeutic, wellness and fine arts programs.
The Peoria Diamond Club, a 501(c)(3) is dedicated to supporting community programs that educate and enrich children’s lives, while enhancing their futures. Through partnerships, sponsorships, donations, and volunteer efforts, we raise funds for local youth charities and organizations.
The Peoria Diamond Club was established in 1993 in response to the desires of the San Diego Padres, Seattle Mariners, and City of Peoria to partner with a nonprofit organization in the operation of Spring Training. In exchange for providing the necessary workforce, the PDC shares in revenues generated through a variety of volunteer functions. These revenues are then redistributed to local community youth organizations through a grant program.
When the Peoria Sports Complex opened in 1994, the PDC consisted of about 90 volunteers, and at the conclusion of the inaugural season awarded $7000 in grants to two organizations. Today the PDC boasts over 350 volunteer members, and has donated over $2,200,000-impacting tens of thousands of children throughout western Maricopa County.
We welcome Rebecca to her new role as our Executive Director. She is no stranger to the Peoria Diamond Club as she has been our Volunteer Coordinator for the last 3 years.
Beyond this role, she dedicated two terms to AmeriCorps, serving as a VISTA in Great Falls, Montana, supporting vulnerable youth and families, and later as a State and National Volunteer in Arizona, providing financial literacy education to foster care youth. She has also actively engaged in equine therapy organizations, and has served on both Board of Directors and Advisory Boards.
Rebecca's impact extends globally, showcased by her extensive travel experiences—having explored 42 of the 50 United States, resided in seven states, including Alaska, and covered each continental US time zone. Her adventurous spirit reflects a profound commitment to positive change.
Toni Wilson is a recent transplant from Everett, Washington. She has always wanted to make a difference in her children's education and the lives of all children. With over 16 years of experience with Parent Teacher Associations, she volunteered for every board position, planned, and executed various events all with the mission of helping to enrich children's lives.
"The mission of the PDC is what drew me to the organization - being able to help local organizations that focus on the health and wellbeing of children in our community. Through volunteering, I’ve met so many amazing people from all walks of life."
Toni is married with two adult sons and lives in Peoria, AZ.
Our Board members aka Blue Shirts are the community leaders, business owners, executives, and educators that form the Board of Directors and leadership committees of the Peoria Diamond Club. Their common interest in the future of the City of Peoria and western Maricopa County has led them to donate their time and talent to further the Peoria Diamond Club’s mission.
